Google Doodle honors Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th…

On Sunday, May 27, in honor of its 75th birthday, the Golden Gate Bridge was featured in the Google Doodle.

The celebration is a big deal, though one person interviewed on television noted how it is weird to celebrate a bridge that enabled car travel over the bay, yet you can’t get near the celebration by car. Okay, can’t is strong… Organizers are highly recommending folks park and either walk or bike to the festivities.

The comments on Twitter are an interesting read.

Lots of folks have Golden Gate Bridge stories. Plus, in case you missed it, here is my post on the fresh artwork that was created for the celebration.

Fireworks tonight. The bridge will be closed at 9pm to accommodate.
