Get Some! Aussie’s Shot in the Desert

The Phoenix Open, which is now scheduled to have its final round on Monday due to frost delays on consecutive days, held a nice surprise for one golfer. Jarrod Lyle hit a hole-in-one on the Par 3, 16th at TPC Scottsdale using an 8-iron.

It had been nine years since Mike Sposa became the 7th player in the history of the Phoenix Open to make a hole-in-one at the famous par-3 16th hole. On Saturday afternoon at the loudest hole in golf, Aussie Jarrod Lyle became the 8th man to do it.

He did it while playing in the resumption of the second round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. His tee shot landed just short and right of the hole. With the a quick bounce and roll, Lyle had his ace and the crowd went wild.
