The Rare Double Eagle — Pebble Beach Golf Links

During the 2010 U.S. Open held at the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Shaun Micheel made a double eagle 2 on the No. 6 hole — a 523-yard, Par 5.

He used a 3-iron from 239 yards for his second shot and holed it. Sweet!

Apparently this is only the second time in U.S. Open history that a double eagle has occurred. In 1985, at Oakland Hills (near Detroit, Michigan), T.C. Chen did it during the opening round.
